High School Academic Program Overview

This page presents an overview of the academic structure, scheduling system, grading policies, and graduation requirements for the High School division. While the school serves all grade levels, the information below applies exclusively to the high school program.

Academic Structure

The high school program is designed as a four-year, college-preparatory curriculum aligned with national education standards and U.S. university expectations. Instruction emphasizes academic rigor, consistency, and readiness for standardized exams and higher education.

In accordance with the national education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, general secondary education consists of 11 years, rather than the 12-year model used in some other countries. Within this national framework, the school defines high school as Grades 8–11, representing the final four years of secondary education.

For international reference, Uzbek grade levels correspond to the U.S. grade system as follows:

Uzbekistan GradeU.S. Equivalent Grade
Grade 8Grade 9
Grade 9Grade 10
Grade 10Grade 11
Grade 11Grade 12

The Government of Uzbekistan has announced plans to transition to a 12-year general education system in the coming years. The implementation timeline for this reform has not yet been finalized and is determined at the national level. Any future structural changes will be adopted in accordance with official government regulations.
